On the nose, pungent burnt herbal and ginger notes open the way, followed by caramelised brown sugar, zesty orange, vanilla, coffee and overripe sour figs. Spicy and fruity on the palate, with notes of sour fig and stewed plums, molasses, vanilla, charcoaled dry oak, and herbal notes of cinnamon and black pepper spice. It finishes with clove, cinnamon and caramelised brown sugar, with faint smoky and burnt plum notes — the kind of pour that asks you to slow down.
Best enjoyed neat, over ice, or shared around the fire with people who matter.
